Your initial consultation at La Liberté Cronin & Company is free. During that consultation we will do our best to give you an estimate of what we will charge you to complete the case. We recognize that each case is unique, and it may be that with a more complex file, we will require more than one consultation in order to determine the appropriate fee to be charged.
Although we do bill some clients by the hour, most of our fees are charged on a per service basis. When we provide a quote for fees to a client on a per service basis, it will include all of our work on their case, including such services as court appearances, telephone calls, negotiations with Crown Counsel, research and preparation. What that means to our clients is that we will do our best to let them know how much it will cost up front in order to resolve their file.
We recognize it can be financially difficult to hire a lawyer, and thus we are happy to discuss payment options with all clients, in order to arrange a payment schedule that works for each client.
